Make Money Online Wiz

One of the things that I have realized is that most of my current strategy is dependent on the search engines to make money. I make money on my sites when I get visitors from the search engines. But, what if something happens and this strategy stops working. I don't know but I think that that could be catastrophic. I need the search engines and if people ever stopped using them or if my sites stopped showing up real high then I would lose a lot of money.

So, the question becomes, how do you make money online, without using the search engines? I do not know the answer to this exactly, but I would like to explore it in more detail. Because, the fact of the matter, is that I do not like being dependent on a third party for my income.

What other platforms can you use that don't require search traffic to make money? I guess there are social networks, but I have never made any money using social networks such as digg.com and facebook. I mean does anyone ever purchase anything through a facebook ad? I would guess not because I see different facebook ads everytime I log into facebook, however I see the same ads all the time on a major media site such as espn.com which makes me think that it is pretty hard to make money on the social networks. It seems like advertisers must be losing money so they stop advertising. Plus, I am a user of FB and I have never, not once, clicked on the ads that show up when I log into my account.

So, I do not think that social networks will make me a lot of money. So, the question becomes, how do you make a lot of money without using search engines. You could write articles for a site like ehow or infobarrel but even those sites are dependent on the search engines to make money.

I think that maybe ebay is a site where you can make money without being dependent on the search engines, but that seems harder than ever. It is very saturated. I wonder where the new sites that you can make money on are hiding. There have to be many, many sites that you can use to make money but right now, I am just looking for them, to be sure.

There are lots of ideas about how to make money online. I often talk about all of the good ways to make money such as Google adsense and affiliate programs. I would like to talk today about some of the bad ways to make money online. These are programs that will probably not make you a lot of money by doing them and could hurt your online business if you do them.

Selling Links

The first bad way to make money online is to sell links from your website. You may think that it is your site and you can sell links if you want to. The problem is that Google does not want people to sell links and it can strip your site of its page rank and even kick you out of the index if they discover that you are selling links. So don't sell links to make money online. It is a bad idea.

This is just like selling links. A company or website will pay you to write a review of their product or website. But they are not really buying a review, instead they are doing it to buy a link to increase their search engine rankings. This is dangerous because it is just like selling links and Google can take action against you if they catch you doing it.

Cash Gifting

This is the stupidest way to make money online that there is. Basically the way it works is that you send cash to other people in the mail. And I mean a lot of cash like $1000 and then other people will sign up and they will mail you $1000 dollars each. If this makes sense to you then you have never heard about an illegal Ponzi scheme. This is a bad way to make money online and you will lose a lot of money if you do it.

Those are some of the worst ways that people try to make money online. If you want to make money online you should get a real business and then you will be in much better position to really profit.

You may be wondering if you can get rich on the internet. I want to answer that question quickly and efficiently. The short answer is NO. The fact of the matter that unless you are an entrepreneur you will not be getting rich no matter how much work you do. I know some people who are rich from their internet businesses. Like the creator of this online dating site but he is a rare case.

The simple fact is that getting rich is very hard. If you offer a product or service you may be able to get rich, but if you are just creating content sites you will not be getting rich. Now, that doesn't mean that you can not make good money because you can.

You see, I think of being rich as having more than $100 million. To accomplish this is pretty unlikely from the online money making activities that me and people like me are involved with. I guess it is possible that the person who owns a huge adsense like hubpages.com might make a few thousand a day, but even that is not a sure thing.

People do not get rich by writing content. But they can make good money. Some internet marketers make north of $50,000 a month which is more than half a million dollars a year. But these are the very top earners.

The thing is that you can make $100,000 to $300,000 if you learn the craft and work hard. For most people that is suffecient reason to try to make money online.
